Step 1. Understanding how all 4 Elements - Memory, Muscles, Skates, and Hockey Stick work together to form Muscle Memory Skill Patterns used during a game of hockey. Step 1 also highlights the importance of the muscle groups used in skating. A great skater is supported by efficient muscles.

Step 2. Defines the 8 major Skating Skill Patterns (plus sub Patterns within each Major Pattern) used in a game of hockey, as well as how these Skating Skill Patterns are used in combination. Combination Skating Skill Pattern training is the most efficient method of becoming a fast skater.

Step 3. Defines the 7 Major Hockey Stick Skill Patterns (plus sub Patterns within each Major Pattern) used in a game of hockey.

Step 4. Players train all Skating and Stickhandling Skill Patterns in combination. These Skill Patterns are then trained in drills designed with passive aggression in order to prepare the player(s) for Step #5 'game-like One-on-One Battles'.

Step 5. Understanding that there are 6 distinct One-on-One Battles during a game of hockey, players train the Skill(s) Pattern(s) used in One-on-One Battles. Here the training is directly related to game situations - how the game of hockey is played. This Step defines the importance of what skills are needed to play the game of Hockey. Coaches and parents will place more importance on practicing skills and less importance playing games.

Step 6. Defines all 8 Passing Skill Patterns.

Step 7. Defines all 6 Shooting Skill Patterns.

Step 8. An off-ice Training Program, directly related to on-ice Skating and Stickhandling Skill Patterns enhances Skating Speed and Stickhandling manipulation, and is specific to Muscle Memory Skill Patterns used during a game of hockey. This program is so specific, that if a player shows any skill deficiencies they will be acknowledged and remedies applied.
